Michaela, who is a dog groomer at Århus Hundesalon, will talk about the daily fur care and the tools and equipment we need for our dogs. In addition, we are looking at how we can calmly train both adult dogs and puppies using, among other things, voluntary handling.

We will briefly go through the different types of fur, after which we will more specifically go through the individual tools and how we best use them for different breeds and types of fur.

What can you do yourself at home, how and not least why?

Requirements for shampoo and conditioner, combing spray, scissors and other types of products / equipment.

Suggestions for training and voluntary handling of the dogs.

The following will be answered and explained:

• Is dog fur self-cleaning?
• Do tangles hurt?
• How do I avoid tangles?
• Should long-haired breeds really also be cut during the winter?
• How do I teach my dog to ...?
• Should I brush my dog's teeth?

Come by for an educational evening all about grooming your dog.

After the event recommended slicker brushes, gentle brushes, combs, natural treats from the salon and other delicious items will be available for sale.

When registering, please state which breeds you have, and we will then focus on the fur types in question.

You will gain insight into your dog's need for fur care and knowledge of what you can do yourself at home.

Michaela Hessellund Beanland runs Århus Hundesalon, which is located in Lystrup. She keeps up to date with knowledge from local sources and abroad, seminars, lectures and courses, and has, among other things, taken courses in Germany, where one of her own dogs also comes from.
