Many thanks to all of you who participated in our lecture on fur care. Many thanks to Michaela Hessellund Beanland, who runs Århus Hundesalon for the presentation and demonstrations.
Dog groomer at Aarhus Dog Salon, Michaela Hessellund Beanland, explained about the daily fur care and the tools and equipment we need for our dogs. In addition, we looked at how we can calmly train both adult dogs and puppies with voluntary handling among other things.
We went through the different types of fur, after which we more specifically looked at the individual tools and how we best use them for different breeds and types of fur.
In addition, we heard about requirements for shampoo and conditioner, combing spray, scissors and other types of products / equipment.
Suggestions were provided for training voluntary handling of the dogs.
The following were answered and explained:
Is dog fur self-cleaning?
Do tangles hurt?
How do I avoid tangles?
Should long-haired breeds really also be trimmed during the winter?
How do I teach my dog to ...?
Should the dog have its teeth brushed?
This evening you could also buy recommended slicker brushes, gentle brushes, combs, natural treats from the salon and other delicious items.
